The best man to ask about fishing and shooting is Clint, the Landlord at the Bridge Inn, Penton, a couple of miles up the road from Moat Vale. While Clint doesn’t sell tickets or organise trips, he will certainly know a man who does. Worth a blether over a pint of real ale !
Esk & Liddle
Excellent rough shooting over 1000 acres of woodland, pheasants, snipe, woodcock, and duck. Fishing on the Netherby beat of the Border Esk, is available at certain times. There is also fishing on the River Liddle.
